Finish taking insurance photos

It’s been a few months since we first showed you how to add your insurance photos to your Househappy account. We wanted to revisit this important task again in case you weren’t able to get to it the first time.

Why is this so important to us at Househappy? Each year there are more than 350,000 home fires in the United States along with countless other disasters that could leave you out in the cold. We want to make sure that your family is protected both safety-wise (which is why we’ve shown you how to change your smoke detector batteries and look for dangerous trees) and financially (like being able to get an insurance settlement) in case something happens.

If you’ve already taken photos of your entire home for insurance purposes, you officially have our permission to watch a few cute animal videos for the next five minutes. If not, here’s how to snap photos and upload them to your Househappy account for safekeeping!

If you have a recent model smart phone, it should take clear enough photos. If not, bust out your digital camera. Start off by photographing the room from each corner. This will allow you to capture the flooring, ceiling, as well as everything in the room from multiple angles.

OPEN UP

Now it's time to open up drawers and doors to capture what's inside.
